Network Marketing Income- Generating Your Prospects 4 Different Ways

Money. We all start a home business to create that extra cash flow that is going to lead us to our dreams and goals. There are several ways to get prospects to increase your network marketing income.Which are you using and are you open to other ideas?Below are 4 of the ways to gain prospects for your opportunity.

1) Traditional Networking.

While some say this is dead in the water others would not build their networking business any other way.Traditional networking includes things such as talking to your circle of influence and the "three foot rule".

Your circle of influence- the list of 200 people you know.

Newer network marketers look down on this way of building your business as the phrase "NFL club" or "No Friends Left" club echo in their mind, paralyzing them to speak with the people they know. What many marketers don't realize is that you are not really looking to recruit these people into your business but you are looking for the people that they know, and the people that they know- networking in the true sense of the word.

Talking to people that know you intimately assists you in honing your question answering skills, lets you work on work presentation, and ultimately builds your business and therefore your network marketing income.

At several Dani Johnson seminars that I attended she asked everyone in the room who had made a list to stand up- several hundred did.She then asked those who had contacted every person on that list to stay standing- about half of the people sat down.Next came who had made money from contacting their whole list- EVERY person remained standing. Finally, who had made six figures in the last 12 months- over 50% of these people stayed standing. This was an exercise that really opened your mind to the possibilities if you just got over your hang ups.

The three foot rule.

Again, newer network marketers tend to frown on the three foot rule as they prefer to let the prospects come to them. But for every person who thinks it doesn't work there is someone who is making money using this method.

The three foot rule is where you are constantly on the look out for people to prospect.Whether it be in the grocery store, in line at the movies, or sitting next to someone on the plane, you are finding ways to draw the person closest to you into a conversation to see if they have a desire to create an extra income for themselves.

This is a difficult skill to really hone as you must be really on your prospecting game.A major part of the reason that so many people shy away from doing this is because they do not have the right people teaching them. They approach people and put their networking marketing business first, instead connecting with the person and finding out thier hot buttons and needs.

2) Lead generation companies

The second way of creating your network marketing income is through purchasing leads.

Many people decide to do this as a way of talking to people who have shown an interest in having their own at home business.

When you purchase leads you can get many different types of leads at lots of different prices from $.10 per lead all the way up to $25.00 a lead. The difference depends on how qualified you want your prospect to be and whether you want your lead to be exclusive to you or not.

Usually you will get information such as name, phone number, email address and additionally may find out a little bit about how much prospects want to spend to start their business and how much network marketing income they would like to make per month.

Proponents of purchasing leads like the fact that they can have an immediate supply of leads to call at any given time without any extra effort of advertising.By having the phone number and email address you can not only call them but also can put them into your auto-responder to stay connected with them over time.

The downside to using lead generation companies is that it can become costly- especially in the beginning when working on your prospecting skills. You also have to be aware of the fact that although people may have requested information they are not always really looking for a home business. You can get go through a lot of people before you really find ones who are not tire kickers.

3) Using a Lead capture Page

Many successful marketers really promote using a lead capture page to create prospects for the following reasons:

A)lead exclusivity, B)interest in your business is peaked, C)better chance of name recognition, D)list building

Lead exclusivity is just as it sounds- being the only one to have that lead.

When purchasing leads, unless you are paying top dollar, most of the time you are sharing the lead with several other people. This means that just as you are contacting them other people are too. Many people don't like the competition of this and would rather use the lead capture page knowing that when a prospect fills out their information they are the only people receiving it.

As your squeeze page is directly related to you and your business, when someone opts in to your information you know that you have a higher chance of conversion as they have shown a desire to have more information about that specific business or product that you are promoting.

Building up a connection and trust is key to making sales and increasing your network marketing income. When a person requests your information they have already seen your name and starting that trust process.Once you begin connecting with them whether it be via email or phone your name will click and make the next step in your sales presentation that much easier.

As many career network marketers know having your own list is very important.Countless times stories are shared about losing databases of 1000's of names when companies shut down or when changing to a new company.By having your own list you are in control of those names and they belong to you.Lists can become huge and therefore great sources of additional income from affiliate products, new product releases from your company, and good ways to also distribute information- just make sure you are following all SPAM laws.

In addition, in using a lead capture page you can actually make money on generating your leads instead of spending money through a funded proposal. This is very attractive to those with a smaller advertising budget.

4) Blogging and Social Networking.

Blogging social networking have become a huge source of gathering prospects over the past few years and you are able to make the most use out of attraction marketing principals in this venue.

Blogging itself has become a preferred way of sharing information, getting your thoughts and ideas out, teaching what you know, and creating a brand yourself. You can do searches for almost any topic out there and find countless blogs about that topic. For someone who has the motivation and persistence to persevere in the blogging world, you can create not only an increased prospect base to raise your network marketing income, but also set yourself up to be an authority in the industry.

Different social networking sites are popping up all of the time and are a very inexpensive way of advertising and finding new prospects. But don't just jump on Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, BetterNetworker or any other social networking site out there and start pitching your business. If you do, you will get a response opposite your desired one.

One of the best ways to learn the ins and outs of a specific site is to join, observe, participate with comments, share your knowledge, and then if the situation arises and you are asked, talk about your opportunity. Most sites and forums will have specific policies about business, product, and affiliate promotions and will stick to them.

Some network marketers prefer this form of generating prospects because generally in this situation the prospects are able to observe you, your site, knowledge, and authority and then they are the ones contacting you for more information about your business. There is a lot less one-on-one legwork with this method as each post you write and each site you participate in has the possibility of being seen by thousands of people. If the information is strong enough you will attract the strongest prospects to you and increase you network marketing income.

Increasing your Network Marketing Income.

No matter which way you choose to go, your overall goal is to increase the dollars that are coming in to your business. Not every person is meant to do every one of the ways listed above. If you are going to be an effective network marketer one of your biggest obstacles is going to be choosing the prospecting method that works the best for you and the one that is going to increase your network marketing income the fastest.

What are some of the ways that you prospect?

What Is Video Blogging And How Can It Help Your Business?

By now, most people in the e-business industry have heard about blogging, what it can offer their company and how it promotes them throughout the internet. Many companies have started blogs and then let them take off on their own as the ball got rolling. Most companies who start blogs end up seeing dramatic results in the industry. The new and improved version of blogging is known as video blogging, and it offers the same (if not better) potential for creating an enhancing a strong client base.Video blogging is still a free thought sharing forum that people flock to discuss everything from technical problems to human rights issues.Whatever your blog ends up being about, make sure it si closely related to your current industry.

Make sure your system requirements are up to date before setting up for video blogging.Large disk spaces and up to date RSS feeds are a must as are faster and more reliable servers and the necessary programs to keep your video blog running smoothly and effortlessly. If you are unsure, ask a professional.

Video blogging is a highly effective method of bringing new products, services, and ideas straight to your clients. In fact, video blogging can increase the sales of certain items simply because you have the most powerful aspects of advertising right at your fingertips. You can show practical use, emotional benefits, and cost effectiveness all in a twenty second blip. From there, you can open up the blogs to questions, intelligent discussion regarding your products, and interactive user feedback. It is like having all the benefits of television advertising without the expense.

Your advertising skills will determine whether or not video blogging will be effective for your company. In some cases, you may have to start out with a test market. If you are new to this media, you may want to experiment with different scripts and various methods of presentation.Advertising can be powerful enough to convince otherwise intelligent individuals to purchase products that they have no real use for.Advertising is the basis of our economy.Video blogging is your introduction to media based advertising.Testing out your script and your potential market is a highly valuable use of your time, giving you the chance to iron out any potential wrinkles in your presentation.

Fortunately for you, video blogging is still new enough that it is grabbing the attention of web surfers. When your video blog pops up, it is usually the only motion on the computer screen, which is a perfect opening for the user to click and check it out.We, consumers, like motion, a strong sales pitch, and a good reason for purchasing one more item that we don't really need.

If your business is affiliate related or you are into a business where you need to gather new associates, video blogging will work well for you as well. Here, your potential associates can watch you, get a feel for how honest and trustworthy you are, and determine that watching your earnest attempt to join them answers any questions they may have had about the integrity of the individual or company trying to "recruit" them.Video blogging helps to develop trust, communication, and a sense of connection through the computer screen.

Video blogs offer a venue of advertising that allows you to add in still shits, text, and any type of streaming video that you feel will help get your message across. The blend of venues can bring out an entirely new message in a way that is unique and interesting to the user.

Video blogging doesn't appeal to everyone at this point. With a small percentage of the country still using dial up internet connections, download times are going to be insanely slow on such systems.Video blogs might not appeal to those who limit their scripts, as they may not be aware that you are offering such an event on your website. As effective as video blogging can be, don't put all your eggs in this one basket.Don't be afraid to get creative, branch out, and reach toward as many clients or associates as humanly possible.

SEO Copywriting: How To Choose Article Marketing Topics To Achieve Maximum Exposure

Articles written for article marketing purposes are meant to be informative and useful.Articles that are overly or blatantly self-promotional will almost always be rejected.People reading articles want to learn something useful, not a marketing pitch.

One concern I hear from clients regularly is "why should I publish articles that don't promote ME specifically?" That's a logical question. It may seem counterproductive to expend energy writing generalized articles that aren't outright selling your product.

How Article Marketing Benefits You And Your business

There are many benefits of an article written solely for marketing purposes:

- Backlinks to your site in the "about the author" from every site that republishes the article
- Helps to establish you as an authority on the topic
- A well-written article on a general topic can "sell" the reader on need for the product.

Once a need for the product has been established, your is right in the footer to provide the solution

Choosing Topics For Article Marketing Articles

One of the most common mistakes I see companies make when writing articles for article marketing is their choice of topic.

Oftentimes, they choose to write articles about themselves rather than articles that are genuinely useful to the target audience.

In an age where search engines rule, the rules of marketing have changed.Search engines don't offer visibility in the natural search engine rankings to companies who are the most promotional. They provide greater visibility to those who are most useful to the population of search engine users.

Your article topic should be useful and informative to a general audience - and not outwardly promote your company or services.

Article topics can be:

- How To.

..
- 3 Ways To...
- Comparisons of 3 or more different products/solutions
- 3 Things to Consider Before.
..
- 4 Reasons Why...
- A Unique Solution for...
- A Guide to...
- X vs.Y: Which is Right for You?

Just because a topic is not outwardly promotional does not mean that is does not create a need for your product or service!A great article topic is one that builds up a need for the type of product or service that the client provides - without specifically mentioning the client in body of the article.

For example, I read a great article the other day about how to design an effective trade show display.Realizing that I did not have the skills nor the desire to learn the skills necessary to build a professional trade show display, I followed the link at the bottom to visit the author's website.

How to articles work great for this reason - especially for service businesses. Many web surfers think that they can do something themselves so search for a "how to" solution. However, after discovering how complicated or involved the process can be, they may decide just to hire a professional. And hey - there's a link to an expert right at the bottom of the article!

Writing The Title

Once you have chosen a topic for the article, it is important to write a title that is equally as effective.

The title should contain the keywords you are targeting in your overall marketing campaign whenever possible.Article titles often become the title tag or URL of the web page. This means that search engines are going to use them to determine the topic of the content and how to rank the page.

The title tag also often appears on a search engine's results page as the dark blue title of the page. This will essentially be what readers use to decide if they are going to click through and read your entire article or not. That is why it is important in article marketing to write titles that are compelling and attractive to readers as well as containing keywords.

Writing an article that is objective, informative and contains a captivating title will ensure that it's accepted by both distribution sites and readers alike.Article marketing as part of an overall link building campaign can be extremely effective -- when done correctly!

Video - The Next Wave Of Small Business Marketing

One of the strongest trends for small business is the need to build connections with your clients -giving them an insight into who you are and what you do. You need to do that through words, stories or parables and testimonials. Written words can only go so far.

The trend I am seeing coming from the US in marketing is the addition of video to things like websites, promotional DVDs and blogs. Think of the explosion of You Tube. More people watch You Tube across the world each day than people watch TV.

The cutting edge of the trend is live self-broadcast TV streamed from your website. Think of it like your own ongoing TV program. One of the gurus in this is a guy who talks about wine - Gary Vaynerchuck. A guy who is passionate about wine talks about it in laypersons terms complete with plastic character toys. It is out there, loud, real and he out-rates many of the top US TV shows.

People want to see you, engage with you, look you in the eye and check you out as a person. They want to see if you really are sincere about your product or service. They don't want a highly polished TV presenter. They want to see and connect with the real person, warts and all. If you are too polished they click away as they can't connect with you.

With a website you only have a few seconds to grab someone's attention. With the addition of video their average length of stay on your site increases. Length of time someone stays increases the likelihood of them signing up for your newsletter, reading your words or buying your product. So, going by trends, the addition of video to your site or your blog is something worth considering.

If you are going to add in video (and we still call it video even though it is something else) to your website or your marketing mix, what should you do and how should you do it?

The technology

Let's start with some basics. The technology you use does not have to be complex or expensive.

It is possible to add video to your homepage for $12US. Use your web camera to record the film of what you want to say. Then use Microsoft Movie Maker (free with windows XP) to edit the film. One cool tool is Video Web Wizard to convert the film to a flash file and to put the little TV screen around the film. Finally add your flash file into your website.

The words

What you say on your video is important. You need to treat it just like any other piece of copywriting. Consider your audience and what they are interested in hearing about. You need to have a logical flow through your words and you need to have a strong call to action in conclusion.

You also need to keep it simple, and not too long. Use a copywriter to help you refine your words if you are not confident in what you are going to say to present your business in its best light.

Adding video to your home page should not replace your general words and text. Remember the search engines can't index a video so you still need your keyword rich text beneath your video to help search engines find you.

General stuff

While the people want to connect with you, you want to make sure the location you are filming in is attractive, not too distracting in the background and has sufficient light (you don't want to look like you are in a nightclub).

You also want your basic appearance to be neat and tidy. Remember to smile, to look down the lens of the camera (and not to the side or away as that can make you look shifty). Remember to blink - some people get the fixed in the headlights stare look and forget to blink.

Don't expect to get it right the first take.

Rehearse your words until you are confident with them, and then expect a few goes to get your video to the point you are happy with it.

Finally it is OK to change things around. The technology is now so simple you can change it as often as you are comfortable with doing it - daily if you like.

So dip your toes into the waters of video marketing. Like everything you need to test and measure your results to make sure it is working for you.
